October 11, 2008 NAS Master Nationals/Heartland Challenge was a huge success. With competitors representing 20 different states, the competition was fierce all day with 3 new National Champions crowned. Congratulations to Dean Nascimben(LW), Rocco Liogghio(HW) and Dave Kraft(50+).

July 12, 2008 the 2nd Annual Nebraska Strongest Man was held, once again, at the American Legion Post #32, in dowtown Papillion. There were 31 competitors from 9 states, competing this year, before an estimated 600 spectators. This year also saw the addition of a Womens division. Through our very generous sponsors and spectators, we raised $3,000 for Camp CoHoLo, enough to send 7 children to camp.

March 22, 2008 the 3rd Annual 100% RAW Powerlifting Federation Nebraska State Powerlifting Championships were held at A.V. Sorensen, in Omaha, Ne. There was 39 lifters from Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri and South Dakota. This was a nationally sanctioned meet that saw numerous records set and Zack Best hitting an Elite total. August 18, 2007 the Battle in the Bluffs strongman competition was held at Jesse Jobe's training facility/house in Council Bluffs, IA. There was 11 lifters from 4 states, 7 LW's & 4 HW's. The competition was tight all day with Jesse Jobe winning the LW division and Mac Capello winning the HW division. more
August 4, 2007 the 2nd Annual 100% RAW Powerlifting Federation Nebraska State Championships were held at A.V. Sorensen, in Omaha, Ne. There was 39 lifters from 4 states. This was a nationally sanctioned meet that saw over 15 new national records set. 100% RAW Powerlifting just continues to grow in our area. more
July 14, 2007 the Nebraska Strongest Man was held at the American Legion Post #32, in downtown Papillion and was a huge success. This was the first time that a NAS sanctioned strongman competition had been held in Nebraska. There was 35 competitors from 6 states that came out to show their strength before a crowd of over 600 spectators. Through our very generous local and national sponsors and a successful $1 raffle, $1,800 was raised for our local charity, Camp CoHoLo. more
