2007 BATTLE IN THE BLUFFS

August 18

Jesse Jobe The Battle in the Bluffs is officially over. We had a great day of competition with sunny weather in the 80’s. I would to first thank all of my loaders/spotters, Larry Kaiser, Zack Best, Mark Reinig & Josh Best. These guys did an awesome job of getting the equipment set and keeping things moving along. Also, thank you to Jesse Jobe for allowing us to use his training facility/house for the contest.
Corey Kenkel There were 7 lightweights and 4 heavyweights competing.
In the lightweight division, things were pretty close all day with different competitors placing in the top of each event. In the end, it was Jesse Jobe that took 1st place, followed by Corey Kenkel in 2nd and Brent Wilson in 3rd. The heavyweight division was dominated by Mac Capello(weighing in at 210#) who won every event on the way to 1st place. In 2nd place was Jason Bangs followed by Conor Hall in 3rd. All 4 of these guys battled it out all day.Mac Capello It was nice to see the familiar faces and the new competitors. I believe we had 3 new guys come and compete in their first contest today which lasted just over 2 hours. Once again, thank you to everyone that helped with the Battle in the Bluffs and stay safe and train hard.Conor Hall
